happy birthday to me.
Today, 02.02.2016, I turned twenty seven. I am not much of a person who celebrates her own birthday but it is a good excuse to bake a sweet, sugary cake. So without having a kitchen mixer and lots of other kitchen tools, I tried to make one for the first time at 6.00 am in the morning. And I have to say, I am quite happy with the result.

 

The cake has a strawberry cheesecake filling with some crushed nuts and actual strawberry pieces and on top of the cake I just made a small layer of coffee butter frosting. Delicious!
Then I wrapped the cake in a white fondant blanket for a nice minimalistic touch.
And lastly, the small heart on top has some coffee butter frosting as well, covered with some nuts.
